Something or other because i am BORED (and possibly because i have no life)

A long title denotes that this has to be at least mildly entertaining, at the very least to myself.

Firstly, get incredibly bored. Seriously. Boredom is Key.
Next, choose any person you know, preferably one that you know very well.
Finishing that, make up a difficult-to-truthfully-answer question that has many options. An example would be:
If you could only save yourself and one other person in your class from a devastating and ultimately fatal fire, who would that person be?
After that, answer that question truthfully to yourself, or to everyone around you if you are feeling brave/suicidal.
Then, step into the shoes of your previously chosen person(who you ought to know at least rather well), and think profoundly about how that person would answer that question.
Congratulations, you have amused yourself.
Failing that, you have just wasted several minutes of your life.

Thesis statement: A person’s life revolves around money

A person’s position and recognition in society mostly depends on the amount he earns and uses. After all, people whose name are known worldwide tend to have a neverending depth in their pockets, and probably several modes of transportation that the working class can only lust for in their sleep. If anything, these people only get more famous when they donate a generous sum of money to charity, or when their companies uses a significant amount to buy over other companies.

Saving up enough money for retirement is also usually a major concern, mainly to the middle class. After continuously diverting a portion of their income for life after work, over most of their adult life, average income earners would still be uneasy as to whether they have actually saved up enough. Thus, they might decide to work even when they ought to be retiring, just to make sure that they have enough for retirement.

You even need money just to enjoy yourself, especially if you are going out with friends. Watching a movie or going to a karaoke lounge requires money, not to mention the travel cost. Even just going for a meal after school with your friends requires you to spend some of your allowance on food.

Practically everything you do in life involves money. Be it eating out or just travelling from place to place, money is mandatory. Thus, I feel that a person’s life really does revolves around money.

Holiday 4

The Waiting Room

I sat on the bench outside the operation room, staring anxouisly at the sign. Please, don’t let her die, I begged. I lowered my face and cupped it into my hands. Then, I prayed.

Typical Chase

Alex flew headlong down the dark alley. Just a a little further! Intent on getting out alive, he accelerated, rounding the last corner desperately. And stopped. It was a dead end.

Fear

The manor was starting to get to me. The only source of ligt was the moonlight entering throught the high cracked windows every few metres. It only served to illuminate the dust, which had been collected over the long years. It floated in the air, spreading slowly, silently. I shivered, and it had nothing to do with the temperature inside the manor. I wanted to get out, now.

Ronald remembered the car well. It was from another age, and its kind was mostly extinct. He had then gone on to beautify it, and had been jubilant at the results. No longer was it rustic; having became polished and gaudy, it was the at the zenith of style.

Harry sighed. It was bliss, just lying there, apathic to the world around him. Slowly, memory of the previous day seeped back into him. He remembered being exhorted to stop drinking as he was getting inebriated, but he had continued with gusto. That must have been why his head hurt so much.

George was desperate. His remaining men were disgruntled, his army was in a moribund state, and they were vulnerable to an enemy attack. But he had been so close! He had thought that he had exploited a hole in the enemy’s otherwise inpressive defence, but it had turned out to be a trap, and he only just managed to escape in the bedlam that had ensued.

John was pissed. He knew that his friend Jane might have been a music prodigy, but she was an egotist about her skill, and was adamant that her performance was at the pinnacle of perfection. If only she had more humility! It was that part of her that besmirch and constricted her otherwise charming personality.

It had been inevitable. The gist of it was that while the bravallians always had a strong aversion to other races, recently, some of them had turned hostile, ganging up and attacking some of the other races. The backalley tussles soon grew into armed fights in the streets, and it was still becoming worst.

The place was a deplorable ruin. The conflagaration had all but obliterated the town. Bodies could easily be seen in the debris. Several of the survivors erupted into tears at the sight, while others just stood there motionless, too shocked to do anything.

It might have seemed bizarre to any tourist, but it was the tribe’s tradition to perform the ritual every full moon. Like most of their traditions, from when the ritual had originated had long been forgotten, but the villagers felt that it was absurb, and possibly imprudent, to not continue doing it just because of that.
